The Red Barn Murder

Presented by Sue Parry

We are delighted to welcome Whitechapel Society committee member Sue Parry who will be giving a talk on the Polstead murder of Maria Marten in 1827. Sue will tell us about the research that she has done and why this particular murder interests her so much. The story has all the vital ingredients of sex, death, disguise and psychic powers and the talk will be well illustrated with images both past and present.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!

Also at this meeting, The Whitechapel Society will be honouring Stewart P. Evans & Don Rumbelow with a Lifetime Achievement Award ‘In Recognition of their Outstanding Contribution to the Study of Ripperology.’ Stuart and Don are truly two of the most respected Jack the Ripper authors and this is a fantastic opportunity to meet them both.
